EAST CORNWALL LEAGUE

The East Cornwall League is a football competition based in the eastern half of Cornwall, United Kingdom, but also occasionally includes a few sides from over the border in Devon

The League was formed for the start of the 1960-61 season and was a feeder league to the South Western League whilst sides joined it by applying from the various local leagues. From 1965 onwards most of it's sides have been promoted from the Duchy League. Currenlty the League is a feeder league to the St Piran League East Division

Originally limited to a maximum of twenty sides the League ran as one division until the start of the 2006-07 season when it split into two divisions of fourteen. It ran with this format, sometimes with fiteen teams per division, until the end of the 2018-19 season reverting back to a single division

Due to current FA guidelines and restructuring the League is limited to sixteen sides and sits at level 12 in the National Football Pyramid
